Talkabout

A speaking and listening program designed for implementation 15 minutes a day 5 days per week.

 Individual children take turns to present a variety of spoken texts to the audience of classmates.

 New spoken texts are learned. Poems and rhymes are spoken (new ones and old favourites).

2. Talkabout Roster 2. Talkabout Roster

A classroom chart for recording children’s names. It is filled in on Mondays, ready for children to do their presentations during the week. The chart could be enlarged to A3 if required. When the chart is laminated, a non-permanent pen can be used to record names.

3. All About Today

A classroom poster for recording information about the day (day, date, weather, season). Seasons information includes specific conditions related to Australia (wet and dry seasons of northern Australia, and indigenous seasonal information). The chart comes as a nine-page file for printing, assembling, and laminating.  (Includes instructions for assembly.) 4. Talkabout Poster
